Concetto Pozzati

Concetto Pozzati (1935-2017), after a debut as an informal artist, he approached pop themes. It is with surrealism that Pozzati's cold and metallic art is associated, simple in its solutions but, in the same way, magical and fantastic.

Pozzati taught at the Urbino Academy of Fine Arts, of which he was also director until 1973; later he taught at the Academies of Florence and Venice. When he became full professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.

From 1993 to 1996 he was councilor for culture at the municipality of Bologna. In 1998 he was artistic director of the Casa del Mantegna in Mantova.
